The Market Street Inn

The photos in this tour include the first, second and third floor condos at 77 Pleasant Street. The units all have kitchens, full baths and living rooms separate from the bedroom.

As you can see below, the property at the corner of Pleasant and Market Streets is a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture very popular in Newburyport from 1818-1850. The vacation condos are on the left side of the building, the ones with the bay windows on the first and second floors plus the third floor. The right side of the building has permanent residents. The entrance is show here as the red door.

Suite #2, First Floor

This suite has the added convenience of being on the first floor. The rooms are flooded with light. From the bay windows you can look down the street and see the waterfront and the Windward Boat Yard.

Suite #4 Second Floor

This space has some nice detail work, as it was the first unit completed when the building was renovated. It was used as the model for the remaining units. The apartment features a king-size bed, bright bay windows and wide pine floors found along the seacoast north of Boston.

Please Note. The bathroom shown in Suite #2, First Floor is identical to the bathrooms on the second and third floors and will not be repeated here. 

 Suite #5, Third Floor

 This suite has the best views of the three units being up higher. It also is bathed in light. From the top floor you can see in several directions and get a good view of the neighborhood, one of 18th and 19th century homes.
