MARKET STREET INN--Finely Furnished Apartments

My wife, Victoria, and I purchased the five properties that make up the inn over a period years. We didn't intend to be innkeepers. I am a retired professor and my wife ran her own company, Micro Training and Development. We live and run our business in the heart of a picturesque seaport established in the 18th century along the Merrimac River. We often walk the beautiful boardwalk and marvel that these banks launched the graceful Clipper ships that carried early American trade to the East Indies. These ships were built not 200 yards from where you will be staying! Families are welcome to stay with us, and we accept certain pets in some apartments. Check with the inkeeper first before bringing your pet.

New Location. We are now offering additional guest suites at The Greenleaf Inn located in Newburyport. The Greenleaf Inn is one of Newburyport's real treasures. This 18th century home was once located on High Street, among prominent homes built by merchants, sea captains and shipwrights. It was moved to its present location and attached to an older colonial home. Geographically, Newburyport is 35 miles north of Boston. Commuting by car, bus or train takes about 45 to 50 minutes. The Boston beltway, Rt. 128, with its many businesses, shopping centers and hospitals is a short 20 minute drive. By way of I495 we are a 15 to 20 minute drive from Andover. We are very close to the New Hampshire beaches and resorts. Portsmouth, NH is about 15 miles from Newburyport via I95.
