About Us

Victoria and Timothy Weaver, Owners

We started the Market Street Inn 20 years ago to offer travelers a 'home-away-from home' when staying in the Newburyport area. That is still our mission: to make guests feel comfortable.

We have stayed in many big box hotels and extended stay properties. While predictable, the atmosphere is not like Grandmother's house! We really strive to make you feel like you have just come home. We are informal and casual. We don't build add-ons into our price. Instead, we offer our guests options.

Tim was a professor at Boston University for 25 years before retiring and expanding the inn. Victoria ran her own software training business. We now spend the bulk of the year in Key West where we own the Rose House, a charming home in Old Town with vacation apartment. But, in the summer and fall you will find us right here in Newburyport!  We love the experience of meeting new people and helping them enjoy their visits to Newburyport.

Our Business

The Market Street Inn has grown over the years from a two-room B&B to a complex of downtown and beach properties that cater to vacationers and those seeking temporary housing. We are open year around.

We also own and operate the Greenleaf Inn and now offer a range of accommodations including overnight, weekly and extended stay residential suites.

Call Stephanie!

In addition to ourselves, we are fortunate to have discovered Stephanie Vincent. As our go-to person, Stephanie handles reservations, guest check-ins, all payment transactions, maintenance scheduling, housekeeping and laundry services. When you call us, you are more than likely calling Stephanie.
